We are a group of volunteers residing in the villages around the bay of Malbay, some of us with roots going back over 275 years
The Barachois and Area Development Committee (BADC) is a non-profit organization created in 2016 to promote community participation and to carry out projects identified in consultation with the residents of Barachois and the surrounding areas, and in collaboration with various community organizations. Such projects include Public Markets, the Discovery Circuit trail, and the 350th Anniversary of Barachois in 2022. These projects aim to improve the quality of life, to ensure the accessibility of services for the elderly, to attract young families, to promote artistic activities, and to share the richness of the local history and the exceptional natural environment.
